Page Snap — Privacy Policy
Page Snap collects no personal data, has no account system, runs no analytics, and has no backend of its own. It takes screenshots on your machine and saves them to your machine.

What we collect
Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal or browsing data. It makes no network requests at all — we do not operate a server, and no data ever leaves your browser to reach us or any third party.
What the extension stores
The only thing the extension remembers is which capture mode, file format, and PDF layout you used last, saved with Chrome's storage API in your own browser profile so the panel opens on your preferred mode. The screenshots themselves are written straight to your downloads folder as ordinary image or PDF files; the extension keeps no copy.
When it runs
Page Snap does nothing until you click its toolbar icon. It captures only the tab you are on when you ask for a capture, and only once per click. It does not read pages in the background, does not log your browsing, and does not inject anything into pages except the temporary element highlighter you invoke in pick-an-element mode, which removes itself as soon as you click or press Esc.
Permissions
activeTab grants access to the current tab only when you click the extension. debugger is what allows rendering a full page or a device-size layout in a single pass — it attaches to the tab for the duration of the capture and detaches as soon as the file is saved (Chrome shows its own banner while this happens). downloads saves the PNG without a dialog, scripting injects the element highlighter when you use that mode, and storageremembers your last-used mode. Each permission exists solely for the extension's single purpose — taking the screenshot you asked for.
Your screenshots
Captures may contain whatever was on the page, including anything sensitive you had on screen. They are yours: they exist only as files in your downloads folder, and the extension never uploads, reads back, or retains them.
Children
Page Snap is a general-purpose tool, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
