Third Eye — Privacy

Nothing. The app makes no requests to us. By default its network traffic is the local model endpoint you configure (LM Studio on localhost) and, once a day, one request to GitHub's public API to see whether a newer release exists — carrying only the app version, and switched off with one toggle in Settings. A fail-closed guard refuses any non-local endpoint unless you explicitly opt in to a cloud provider in Settings; if you do, requests go directly from your machine to that provider under its terms, with keys held in the macOS keychain.

A local SQLite memory (things you asked it to remember, distilled notes from chats, transcripts), your settings, and a log file under your Library folder. Chat transcripts are passed through a redaction step before they are written, which removes secrets, card numbers, and keys. Screen captures are used in memory for the current action and are never written to disk unless you ask for a screenshot to be saved. Everything can be deleted from the Memory window or by removing the app's data folder.

Accessibility and Screen Recording are requested so the app can read the screen and synthesize input; they are off until you arm them in Settings and explained in the first-start tour. Automation prompts for Chrome, Calendar, Reminders, and Notes appear on first use of the corresponding tool and can be refused; the tool then fails visibly instead of working around it.
